Cambodia, Coastal Beauty

As the bus drives further and further away from Phnom Penh, the landscape begins to change drastically.  Flat, brown fields are replaced by lush, rolling hills.  Koh Kong hugs the Thailand border, and is used by most tourists merely as a truck stop.  I had the pleasure of spending three nights there, a respite from the bustling capital.  With camera constantly at close proximity, I took in the true beauty of rural Cambodia.

A rare sighting from the bus!  The first wild elephant I’ve ever seen.  If only we could have stopped long enough so I could get a photo that wasn’t shot through a fingerprinted window.
